El Pescaíto de Carmela is your shortcut to the beach. Every dish, every wine and every detail will immerse you in a sea of sensations. The name itself says it all, what’s the point?
We wanted this restaurant to make you feel the sand on your feet and the smell of saltpetre even though you are in the heart of Granada… and we have succeeded! And we have succeeded! Here we pay homage to the treasures of our coasts: the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. The best fish and seafood brought daily from the fish market. We tell you this because we prioritise quality and sustainability. We may not always have all the types of fish and seafood you can imagine, but we guarantee that you will only eat fresh and responsibly caught products. Crystal clear.
We’re so crystal clear that we’ve even left the kitchen open so you can watch us work lovingly until the dish arrives on your table under full sail.
Do you need more reasons to visit us? Here’s another: our kitchen is open all day. Fancy a seafood paella at seven in the evening? We’ll cook it for you on the spot. Fancy a shrimp omelette? We’ll fry it up whenever you want. It’s that easy, that Carmela.

Let's talk about food
You already know that we offer the best of the sea, but do you dare to dive into the deeper waters of our menu? Sailors be warned! When you try it, it will happen to you like the waves on the shore: you will come back again and again.
Start by refreshing yourself with a cold beer and even better accompanied by a tapa to whet your appetite. Ready for a bite to eat? Don’t miss our Russian salad with prawns – a Carmela classic -, the shrimp omelettes and the famous croquettes.
Shall we order the wine list? Take your pick and continue with some scrambled eggs with prawns , some sautéed clams or a tempting octopus. And to continue we suggest an excellent grilled fish, a crispy fried fish, a selection of fresh seafood, some fine shells or one of our spectacular rice dishes: black, seasonal vegetables, fish and seafood or a lobster stew. By the way, did you know that our rice dishes are served without the need to order or a minimum number of diners?
And there is always room for dessert, especially if you want to melt with our chocolate croquette. Although the selection of cakes or the homemade fried milk will also leave you open-mouthed.

What we love about croquettes is that… they are croquettes! they are croquettes! 🙂 A croquette is the shortest way to happiness, that moment that is yours and yours alone when you close your eyes as you bite into it and feel the creaminess of the inside melt in your mouth. We love them so much that we can’t wait for them to get cold and we love them no matter what time of year it is.
Croquettes are the winning number in a raffle, the perfect choice, the crowd’s wild card when you don’t know what to order. They are versatile (they can be stuffed with almost any filling), they are generous (the ultimate exponent of the ‘kitchen to make the most of’), they are sincere (a homemade croquette will never deceive you) and they are addictive (we could swear that they come with a magnet because it is impossible to eat just one).
At Restaurantes Carmela, croquettes are like popcorn for a movie: indispensable. They are famous for their perfect texture, their ideal size and their wow! effect flavour. And what’s more, at El Pescaíto de Carmela they are gluten-free and lactose-free – a scandal!

No need for that! We cook all our rice dishes on the spot and you don’t need to order it in advance. However, please understand that it will take between 30 and 45 minutes to cook, so we suggest you order it as soon as you sit down at the table. While it arrives, you can open your mouth with the rest of the delicious dishes on our menu.
What is the minimum number of people required to order a rice dish?
Yes, you have two options: order by phone and come and pick it up at the restaurant at no extra cost, or order through Just Eat, whose delivery drivers will take it to your home. (It is not a delivery service, i.e. you pay Just Eat, who are responsible for the delivery).
